I’m suprised when Lin gave me this brooch. She wish me “Happy Teacher’s Day”. I asked her, why did she gave it today? Teachers’ Day is supposed to be celebrated on the 16th May, which is this coming Friday. She replied, “I don’t know. Mom asked me to give it to you.” When I looked at her mother, I said my thanks. She said she don’t know when my birthday is.

“My birthday just pass a few days ago,” I said.

“On the 10th, wasn’t it? It’s ok. Mine tomorrow.”

I just smiled. I don’t know how to response. I have never received any presents other than those who are closed to me. I need to do something tomorrow. Maybe ask her children to make a card for their mother. Hmm…

Ah, my mum called me this morning. She wished me a belated birthday. I was so happy hearing my mum’s words. She asked me when I’m going to go home. I told her maybe at the end of the year, for Hari Raya celebration. I miss mum so much. Last weekend, I felt a huge longing to my home. I really miss my family so much (sigh).

First, I like to thank Zila, Jen, and my youngest sister, Pijot for remembering and wishing me on my birthday. To Kelupis, yes I’m getting older, but I’m not that old to have white hair yet. Believe me, I’m thinking of dieting. Don’t be surprise I would be as slim as a model (as that would ever happen). Hahaha. Kak Maz, thanks for the time at McD, although I might prefer a genuine cake and twenty six candles, than McChicken and a straw as a candle. Just kidding. Your remembrance was already special enough for me. Thanks a lot. To Ekin, thanks for the chocolate. Next year I want a new phone. Haha. Eila, I love the teddy bear a lot. Thank you. To all peopld I have mention above, because of you, my day became so much meaningful. Thank you so much.

Yesterday was also the end of my stressfull weeks. No more thinking of kindergarten assessment papers as yesterday was Report Card Day. Congratulations to all my excellent students. Others try harder ney time ok? Now I could focus on reading and understanding. No matter what, I will make sure they read more book.

AIM was dull this year. Not much jokes. Too much ads. Without Bob Lokman, Afdlin seemed lonely. Even with Adibah Nor, their joke and chemistry unsynchronized with each other. The biggest winner of the night was Faizal Tahir, who won 4 of the biggest awards. I couldn’t deny his talent. He has this unique new voice that give a fresh variety to our ears. This was his ‘rezeki‘ after been banned from media for 3 months. Congratulations to Faizal Tahir.

Last night, I was so excited that I could surf internet using DiGi GPRS and Sony Ericsson PC Suite with my K550i. It has faster page loading than Celcom Unlimited Broadband RM68 per month that my boss was using. With DiGi GPRS, I could surf unlimited for a day after spending RM6 for GPRS. For me, the deal is fair, since I’m not a daily internet surfer. I only surf during weekends, as I’m busy working during weekdays. Nice job DiGi! Keep it up and maintain the service. I love it so much.

I went shopping with Eila just now. We went to Jusco. We spend 4 hours there - picking our need-to-buy-things, testing expensive things (without even thinking of buying it), ‘cuci mata’, and eating our favourite ice-cream (Eila’s was lime with vanilla inside, while I was having vanilla con ice-cream ~ yummy!).
